2008 Fractional American Buffalo 24 Karat Gold Coins | |
The U.S. Mint has just released the brand new, 2008 Four-Coin American Gold Buffalo
Sets in both "Burnished" and "Proof" finishes! Since their initial release in 2006, the Buffalo has
become a favorite amongst collectors and investors alike. However, the U.S. Mint has only minted one-ounce
issues - until now. Extremely High-Quality Finishes We expect very high demand for these premier-issue Four-Coin Buffalo Sets complete with one-ounce, half-ounce, quarter-ounce, and tenth-ounce sizes of the coveted design combining two popular motifs in U.S. coinage - the American Buffalo and the American Indian, made famous on the 1913 Buffalo Nickel. Two finishes are being offered to commemorate this special release: Proof Finish - Each coin is struck multiple times by highly-polished dies that create a beautiful two-tone finish featuring a reflective background and frosted design features. Burnished Finish - A smooth, even, matte strike consistent across the background and design features. First-Year-of- Issue Each of the four sizes in both finishes display the famous “W” mintmark, signifying their production at the West Point Mint in New York. Each coin in this initial offering will be NGC graded and encapsulated along with the pedigree “Early Release” on the grading certificates. As the bull market in precious metals continues, we expect these 2008 American Buffalo Sets to perform well along with the rising gold price. Considering the popularity of the one-ounce Buffalo Gold Coins since 2006, we're expecting to see overwhelming demand. |
